Paleo recipes are the way to go for individuals who avoid grains because they don’t agree with them or simply want to lower the inflammation in their bodies. I love paleo, gluten-free recipes because I suffer from celiac disease. This auto-immune disease attacks my gut health and causes constant inflammation if not controlled by my diet.

That’s why I love to create healthy, gluten-free and paleo recipes. They maintain my gut health and decrease inflammation within my body.

So if you too suffer from an auto-immune disease and follow a paleo or gluten-free diet, then you will love this delicious and easy snack recipe. My husband loves these apple pie bites so much that I make them several times a month. When I say that these Paleo snack bites are easy to make, they truly are with only 4 ingredients too.

Walnut Health and Beauty Benefits

Walnuts are one of the smaller, less-assuming super foods. The humble walnut is often neglected when it comes to assessing the many health-boosting foods we eat. Nuts are an amazing source of protein for non-meat eaters. Some nuts (like walnuts) have even more health benefits than most of us are aware of, leading to their categorization as ‘Superfoods!’

Merely one-quarter a cup of walnuts provides more than 100 percent of the daily recommended value of plant-based omega-3 fats. In addition to high amounts of copper, manganese, molybdenum, and biotin. These paleo apple pie bites are filled with just the right about of walnuts to provide your body with omega-3 fats.

Walnuts may help reduce not only the risk of prostate cancer but breast cancer as well. These sensational nuts also contain the amino acid l-arginine. These benefit individuals with heart disease due to the many vascular benefits. Walnuts contain several unique and powerful antioxidants that are available in only a few commonly eaten foods.

This impressive little nut contains protein and healthy fats which help regulate your blood sugar levels. A beautiful benefit of adding walnuts into your diet is the compound, alpha-linolenic acid, which is powerful when it comes to strengthening the skin. Selenium in walnuts is important for a healthy scalp. PUFAS, polyunsaturated fatty acids, contained in walnuts, help dry the scalp due to their anti-inflammatory properties.

They also have been proven to improve sperm quality, help with weight control, and offer support for brain health and type 2 diabetes.
