POWER THROUGH YOUR DAY WITH THIS PRETTY IN PINK SIP
Beets naturally contain nitrates, which your body converts to nitric oxide. Studies indicate that drinking beet juice helps with blood flow and can even lower blood pressure. You can read more about the benefits of beets.
I love to beetroot latte drink as a replacement for pre-workout drinks. I hate the jittery feeling that pre-workout powders give me. Beet juice helps with blood flow, which is the reason I love to drink this before working out.
Studies have shown that if you eat beets an hour before a workout, it will help dilate your blood vessels, which in turn increases the amount of oxygen delivered to your muscles. That’s why this beetroot latte is so energizing.
This drink won’t give you those nervous flutters in your heart, except maybe for the gorgeous pink color. Seriously, how pretty is this? It reminds me of my “pretty pink dust” that I sprinkle on my oatmeal. In case you don’t know what “pretty pink dust” is, here is the recipe.
There are two ways to make this healthy beet latte recipe. If you have more time, you can make it from scratch, or if pressed for time, you can make the quick version. The quick version is made using SuperBeets Collagen. Either version of this healthy beet latte recipe is delicious.

ENERGIZING PINK LATTE (SLOW VERSION)
- Total Time: 20 minutes
Ingredients
-
1 cup of unsweetened coconut milk (from the carton)
-
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
-
1 tablespoon raw red beet (grated)
-
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
-
1 1/2 teaspoon pure maple syrup
-
1 teaspoon fresh ginger (peeled, and grated)
-
1 teaspoon of coconut oil
-
Pinch of sea salt
Instructions
1. Take the grated pulp and squeeze the juice into a bowl. It is best to either use rubber gloves or hold with plastic wrap to prevent staining of the hands. Set the juice aside. You can either discard the beet pulp or save to add to smoothies, or mix into muffins.
2. In a saucepan, combine the coconut milk, maple syrup, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and pinch of salt. Over medium heat, bring to a boil. Reduce to simmer for 10 minutes, whisking periodically to prevent milk from burning. Remove from heat.
3. Stir in the beet juice and coconut oil. You can either use an immersion blender or transfer to a high speed blender and blend for 30 seconds.
4. Serve and enjoy.
