You only need a few simple ingredients to make the best-tasting blueberry banana smoothie recipe. I like to keep these key ingredients in my pantry and refrigerator at all times

1. Blueberries - Packed with fiber-rich anthocyanins, and vitamins C and K.
2. Bananas - Rich in prebiotic and inulin fiber, great for gut health.
3. Flax Seeds - Rich in omega-3 fatty acids and help balance hormones.
4. Spinach - Rich in the mineral iron to help produce hemoglobin, which carries oxygen from the lungs to other parts of your body. Also, it is necessary to make hormones, like erythroferrone and hepcidin. Iron increases the erythroferrone, while simultaneously suppressing hepcidin, which allows more iron to be readily available for red blood cell production (1,2).
