Lentils
I like to use dried yellow lentils in this recipe. However, you can swap it for red lentils if that is what you have on hand.
Sweet Potato
The fiber in sweet potatoes helps keep you full for longer, but can also help manage blood sugar levels.
Carrots
Please don't leave out the carrots, because they add a natural sweetness to the soup that pairs well with the rest of th ingredients.
Coconut Milk
It will add that element of creaminess and remain a vegan-friendly soup recipe.
Turmeric
Turmeric is an impressive spice I love to cook with for the anti-inflammatory benefits. The active substance is curcumin, which helps lower inflammation within the body. Turmeric is also beneficial in boosting skin health. It can help decrease acne and scarring.
Ginger
Ginger has been shown to help reduce inflammation, especially in those suffering from rheumatoid arthritis or osteoarthritis. It is terrific at reducing nausea and upset stomach. Studies have also shown ginger has protective effects against stomach ulcers
Garlic
Fresh minced garlic is perfect to evenly distribute that delicious garlic flavor. Ginger and garlic have long been hailed for their incredible health benefits, particularly when it comes to supporting gut health and balancing hormones.
