How To Make Delicious Chocolate Protein Pudding?

If you don’t know this already, pudding is a tasty thick, sweet dessert that is typically made with milk, sugar, and cornstarch. However, this version is taken to a whole new level of healthy with natural sweetener from the dates, which also provide the body with vitamins and minerals.

Instead of the cornstarch, I used a mixture of raw cacao powder and protein powder. This bumps up the protein content as well as add more vitamins and minerals from the raw cacao powder.

What is the Difference Between Pudding and Custard?

Pudding is a thicker and sweeter dessert, whereas custard has more egg added to the recipe which changes the texture.

Some people are either team pudding and others are team custard. I personally prefer pudding but will enjoy eating custard during holiday gatherings.

RAW CACAO POWDER

Raw cacao powder is an ingredient full of antioxidants and helps to protect against free radicals. This superfood powder also contains phenylethlamine. Which is known for increasing your happy hormones, the secretion of endorphins, within the body.

Raw cacao powder is also an excellent source of magnesium. Did you know that if you typically suffer from constipation this could indicate that you might be low on magnesium. Try increasing foods that naturally contain magnesium to help keep your bowels regular.

MEDJOOL DATES

Medjool dates are a type of date that are sweet and rich in nutrients. For example, they contain many important vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and fiber.

Medjool dates are the best types of dates to use for this recipe because they are soft and moist, but not too overly sweet. They ae the perfect balance of sweetness for a tasty chocolate pudding your family will love.
