Your metabolism is basically the interaction of a bunch of organs and glands responsible for regulating how your body burns food for fuel and converts that food into energy. The chemical reactions keep your body alive and functioning.

The higher the metabolism, the more calories you burn, and the easier it is to lose weight. These include the thyroid, pancreas, stomach, small and large intestines, and colon.   • Your hormones are seen out of balance (hair loss, brittle nails, and dry skin).

  5. Increase daily physical activity. Exercise daily and try to do it earlier in the day. Exercise regularly to keep your body at a healthy weight and refuel with healthy foods.

You see, overweight people tend to eat when they’re not hungry, they tend to have a larger appetite (a common symptom of a slow metabolism).
